Third-year journalism major Madalyn Amato has been selected as the editor in chief of the Daily Forty-Niner for fall 2020. Amato looks to continue to push the publication “digital-first” under her leadership.
The Daily Forty-Niner, in conjunction with the Long Beach Post, held a live-streamed conference with President Jane Close Conoley, April 9. Conoley answered COVID-19-related questions that were submitted by the Long Beach State community.
President Conoley sent an email announcing that all classes will transfer to online only Starting March 17 due to recent local developments relating too coronavirus.
Due to the university’s decision to suspend face-to-face instruction, the Daily Forty-Niner will be suspending print production until further notice.
