For more than 70 years, the Daily Forty-Niner has been a place for students to learn new skills, pursue their passion, begin their journalism career and build lifelong relationships.
Sadly, the COVID-19 pandemic has made it difficult for our students to have these valuable experiences.
When the CSULB campus closed last March, the Daily Forty-Niner ceased print production, jeopardizing about 80% of our semester’s advertising revenue.
While we have made commendable strides in improving our digital advertising offerings, it has not been enough to make up for the loss. That’s why we need your help!
Invest in the future of student journalism with a tax-deductible donation to the Daily Forty-Niner.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 by April 19, which will help fund our newsroom and our student journalists impacted by the pandemic. Your donations will help us:
- Supplement student editor salaries
- Maintain current equipment and purchase new equipment
- Cover the costs of producing and distributing the only print issue of this entire academic year – the Commencement Special Edition, honoring the classes of 2020 and 2021
Please join your fellow Daily Forty-Niner alumni in giving what you can.
Thank you and Go Beach!
