Gay men have the right to marry a woman and lesbians have the right to marry a man. In that regard they already have equal rights as straight men & women but of course they won’t be exercising those rights. lol
Proposition 8 passed and therefore a marriage in California is currently limited to one man and one woman only. This was part of the problem with Proposition 8. People could be confused and vote “yes” thinking they were supporting same-sex marriage.
