Autumn Hunt, a fifth-year recreational therapy major, said “It is a shocker to see everyone back on campus and then just realizing like the overflow of things…It’s nice to see everyone back in full effect even though we do need to be mindful of certain things and be cautious.”

Mikey Neang, a fourth-year information systems major, said “I have to take into account commute time, traffic time, and of course time to walk to classes because now it’s a little longer. You can’t just login to your computer on Zoom at home.”

Hunter Vazirian, a third-year information systems major, said “there’s a lot more people, its very busy, more activity…It puts me in a good mood to see the campus atmosphere better.”

Evelyn Vasquez, a fourth-year comparative literature major, said “my classes did switch to this building and they’re super crowded, and the tables are right next to each other…other than that its pretty alright”. She commutes with her sister Nicole Vasquez and says that “The morning is not so bad, we get here in like 45 minutes. Leaving though can sometimes take us like an hour and a half to get back home.”

Bjoern Hofmann, a second year industrial engineering major and international student, said “My home university has like five buildings and we have just 1,500 people there.” He is currently staying at Beachside, student housing off campus. He said that “sometimes early in the mornings there are a lot of people and sometimes you need to wait for the second shuttle.”
