Long Beach creatives reflect on how last year’s events and financial setbacks were used to help their processes today. For some, that means learning at home. For others, that means gauging how they will grow their work, but all are determined to continue creating.
This year’s senior gallery featured over 40 artists from the illustration, animation and pre-production fields. Each student showcased a portfolio of two-dimensional work, resulting in a variety of visuals in the exhibit.
The documentary, co-directed by Almaraz’s widow, Elsa Flores Almaraz, tells all about the artist’s personal demons and struggles.
