Non-virgin Pamela Anderson plays the Virgin Mary

Hot topic: Pamela Anderson’s sex-filled career has taken a miraculous turn.

The former Baywatch, Playboy and sex tape star will play the Virgin Mary in a Canadian Christmas comedy special by Russell Peters, according to AOL TV.

Don’t worry, Tommy Lee’s yuletide log won’t make an appearance in this one.

The National Catholic Register said they’re group isn’t happy, calling it a mockery of true faith.

Peters, however, cast Anderson not thinking of her past or holding it against her.

“I didn’t even think about the other side of Pam Anderson, which is so long ago. Let’s give a chick a break already,” Peters said to CTV.

Hate her or love her, Canadians can enjoy the impure Virgin Mary  on Dec. 1.

I almost want to move to Canada to see it.

My opinion: It’s not like the woman is a teenager claiming she was magically knocked up by God or something.

Give Pam a movie break!

The whole point of being an “actress” is playing someone other than yourself. Since when does an actress only qualify for a role if she’s exactly like the character in real life?

Welcome to the theater: The young can play old, the straight can play gay, the male can play female, the poor can play rich and the non-virgin can play the Virgin Mary.

Despite what we’ve seen in her sex tapes, none of us really know Pam inside (no innuendos). She may very well be just as good a person as Mary, even if her acting isn’t at all that great.

But it’s just a role in a comedy movie. On to more important things, please!
