ESPN College GameDay at CSULB

Cal State Long Beach may not have a football team anymore, but at least it has ESPN College GameDay, a show that previews college football games.

ESPN set up in front of the on-campus Outpost restaurant and started filming the promotions for its college football pregame show on Monday.

The show’s hosts — Kirk Herbstreit, Chris Fowler, Lee Corso and Desmond Howard — were seen at the set along with the head coaches of January’s Bowl Championship Series national championship game, University of Alabama’s Nick Saban and University of Texas’ Mack Brown. The University of Oregon’s mascot, the Oregon Duck, was also on hand shooting a pregame promotion.

Other promotional spots will be filmed Tuesday at different locations on campus, according to Fernando Solorzano, University Police captain.
