Female says she was “inappropriately touched” by another woman

University Police received a report of an alleged assault on Aug. 25.

According to Captain Fernando Solorzano, the incident occurred between the two females 16 days prior, on Aug. 9.

The victim reported that the other female “inappropriately touched” her while they were driving through campus.

The two females were employees of a custodial company contracted by the Pyramid. “The reporting party does not desire to press charges because she is seeking the support of her employer for follow up on the case,” Chief Stan Skipworth said.

Since there are no charges, University Police are not investigating the event further, but they will document the incident in the annual Clery Report.

“We strongly believe that this is an isolated event between the two individuals from the contracted agency,” Solorzano said.

“There is no broader concern,” Skipworth added. “I trust their employer will handle the situation.”
