– New full-time students should take between 12 to 15 units in their first semester. – New freshmen should take University 100, if possible, in their first semester. – Freshmen who need courses such as English 1, Math 1, or Math 10 must successfully complete these courses by the end of the second semester of their freshman year. Although pre-baccalaureate courses do not count toward the 120 units for graduation, they do count as units for full-time enrollment and financial aid. – If you need to change your class schedule, go to www.my.csulb.edu to check your account regularly throughout the year, to review your degree progress report or to use the Interactive Voice Registration (IVR) to add or drop classes. – For students who have chosen a major, see your major adviser.Source: Academic Advising Center
