Murder hearing pushed to December, originally set for June

The preliminary hearing for the alleged murderer of a Cal State Long Beach nursing student has again been postponed.

Kate Yi, 20, was discovered dead in her apartment April 2. The official cause of death was asphyxiation by strangulation.

The alleged murderer, Jonathan Huynh, was briefly brought out in handcuffs at his hearing yesterday. The judge announced that the hearing would be rescheduled for Dec. 2.

This is the third time Huynh’s hearing has been postponed.
