Petrovic claims All-MPSF Honorable Mention

Senior Aleksandar Petrovic was named to the All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Team as an honorable mention Tuesday for the Long Beach State men’s water polo team.

The 6-5 defender from Nis, Serbia scored a career-high 53 goals this season. His previous season-high was 35 goals during his sophomore campaign.

As the lone senior on the ‘Niners, he averaged 2.04 goals per game. He scored a career-high six goals in a loss to UC Irvine and also scored five goals in two matches this season.

He is also ranked 13th all time in career goals at Long Beach, finishing his career with 140 tallies.

This is the second time in his career he was named All-MPSF Honorable Mention. He also received the honor in 2009 after he scored 35 goals in 21 games.

In 2010, he scored 30 goals and was the second leading scorer for LBSU, while scoring 22 goals as a freshman in 2008.
